VT Flagship to deliver BMW Group dealer training in the UK

Leading training solutions provider, VT Flagship has won a multi-million pound five-year contract to deliver training at the BMW Group Academy (UK) at Wokefield Park, Berkshire.

This contract firmly establishes VT Flagship’s position within the international training arena, working with a globally recognised brand renowned for quality and tremendous pride in its products.

From early January 2009, VT Flagship has been delivering all technical and non-technical programmes to the UK-based BMW, MINI and motorcycle dealership employees. VT Flagship will also work closely with BMW UK Management to design future training programmes to support the strategic direction of the business. The contract includes all BMW and motorcycle brands and the MINI brand amounting to close on 120,000 training days over the five years.

VT Flagship will also run the careers programme for the two-year BMW Group Dealer Apprenticeship Scheme, which saw 187 apprentices in learning during the 2007/8 academic year. Within the contract, circa 40 posts will be transferring from BMW (UK) to VT Flagship.

In 2008 the BMW Group Academy (UK) was awarded a Grade 1 by the OFSTED inspection team for its apprenticeship programmes, and VT Flagship looks forward to continuing this excellent provision.

VT Flagship’s Managing Director Tara Gullett says: "This is an important training contract win for VT Flagship, and a clear indicator of our position as one of the leading UK training organisations.

"The VT Flagship team fought off strong competition within the industry, providing an integrated solution where proven understanding of brand protection and training excellence was demonstrated. The speed in which the team has moved from contract sign off in December through to delivery has been impressive."
