VT Flagship and RN promote VT Flagship and RN promote training in an international arena IMDEX 2009 provides high visibility with Heads of Navies
VT Flagship and the Royal Navy’s International Defence Training (IDT) organisation have promoted their training capability at IMDEX, one of the most prestigious maritime defence shows. IMDEX 2009, a biennial event serving the Asia-Pacific region, took place May 12-14 in Singapore.
The three day show provided a high level of visibility with Heads of Navies and Heads of Coastguards across the globe. VT Flagship and IDT (RN) met with over a dozen delegations from countries including Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore as well as the First Sea Lord, Sir Jonathon Band.
Said Charles Hawkins, “IMDEX offered a significant opportunity to promote Flagship and its capabilities under the VT Group banner. IMDEX is much more than a show; it offers an intense three days in which to market VT Flagship’s individual and RN partnered training to a captive audience, both at our stand and at the formal receptions organised aboard the RN vessels in situ. We are delighted with the response we received from both existing and new contacts made.”
The small stand taken at IMDEX, manned by both VT Flagship and RN, promoted the full spectrum of courses, from engineering to courses run at VT Flagship’s state of the art Fire Fighting School, as well as turnkey infrastructure solutions.
IMDEX provided four inter-related events – a conference, exhibition, VIP Delegations Programme and Visiting Warships over the three days.
